Winter in the Lake District is a wonderfully peaceful time. For those with an interest in Photography, it also has the benefit of making it easier to catch the sunrise!

All of the following photos were taken in December 2018, and demonstrate that the Lake District scenery can be inspiring in every season.

I’ve also created a Landscape Photography gallery which I plan to keep adding to over the year.

A view at sunrise over a Windermere cloud inversion from Wise Een Tarn. The tarn is only a 30 minute walk from the front door.

The Boathouse on Wise Een with Bowfell in the background. Knipe fold in centre frame.

The Moon setting at Sunrise and reflecting in the tarn, with Crinkle Crags on the skyline.

This shot was taken from Cuckoo Brow Lane just as the mist was clearing over the lower part of Far Sawrey.

Tarn Hows is only 15 mins away from Top Garden Suite. This is the lower part of Tom Gill Falls at Tarn Hows.
